The issues of timely detection, access to treatment and social support for tuberculosis patients were discussed in Bokhtar

On July 29, 2021, within the framework of the USAID Eliminating  TB in Central Asia Project (USAID ETICA), a working meeting of the partner network of service providers was held in Bokhtar city, which was attended by 25 employees of republican and regional health structures, workers of public and international organizations, as well as representatives of key populations.

During the working meeting, the participants discussed issues of timely detection, treatment and social assistance to people affected by tuberculosis, as well as ways to improve the cooperation of medical services and civil society in solving TB problems. The results of the activities of the USAID Eliminating TB in Central Asia Project for the period October 2020 - June 2021 were also presented. This project is being implemented to reduce the burden of tuberculosis in Tajikistan by building local and regional capacities to improve detection and treatment of TB and DR-TB.
